One of the key reasons for Charles River Media's success is the experience and expertise of its founder, Don Schechter. Not only is Don the Director for TEDx Cambridge, which produces one of the longest-running and largest independently organized TED events in the world, but he is also an accomplished speaker in his own right. In his talk for TEDxTufts University, titled "Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: Storytellers, Sci-Fi, and Unreliable Mirrors," Don shared his personal experiences and insights on how to overcome feelings of self-doubt and imposter syndrome by mastering the art of storytelling. For TEDx Cambridge, Don has overseen productions at the Boston Opera House, CitySpace, and in a “volume” for its innovative and inaugural virtual production season.

In addition to producing TEDx content, the CRMG production team has also worked with TEDxNortheastern, TEDxWaldenPond and TEDxYouth@Beacon Street to film and edit their TEDx events. This demonstrates the company's versatility and ability to work with a variety of organizations and events.

Case in point, when Thought Industries came to Charles River Media asking to elevate the look and feel of their online 2022 COGNITION conference with a custom virtual set, we were happy to help! Built in Cinema 4D, this virtual environment enabled us to record keynote presentations, software demos, and interviews using the live green screen workflows at our 73 TV Place Studio.
